In charge of the link with associations for the preservation of biodiversity and the inventory of sensitive and natural sites to be protected. Deputy Mayor of Saint-François, in charge of preserving the natural heritage and beautifying the territory.
Saint-François, like the rest of Guadeloupe, is part of a biodiversity hot-spot. Saint-François is home to several natural treasures, including one of the jewels of the natural heritage of Guadeloupe and even the Caribbean, namely the Pointe-des-Châteaux. This is why, as soon as they were elected in July 2020, the municipality of affirmed its will to work in favour of the preservation of biodiversity, environments, resources and the living environment. For this first year of its mandate, it has initiated or continued large-scale projects. In particular, it has responded to the call for projects to create an Atlas of Communal Biodiversity, continued the Grand Site operation (preservation phase), and supported the marine/terrestrial educational areas and participated in the creation of new areas. Finally, it was the winner of the life4best project for the creation of a nursery in schools.
Its ambition is to continue in this direction and to preserve, enhance and promote our natural areas.
